5 musical acts I would pay to watch perform live

5. Bon Jovi

Caught them while they were on their 'These Days' World Tour back in '95 with Nick. We were 14 then. Still being kids and without cell phones, we were surely "Livin' On A Prayer" to get home.

4. Maroon 5

After two great albums, these bunch of marooners have a bunch of memorable tunes and are sure to a good night of music. Better if the stadium was open air, else it would be 'Harder To Breathe'.

3. Backstreet Boys

Woot! My juvenile ambition to be a Backstreet Boy has come and ... gone partially, but seeing these guys in action again would be "Larger Than Life".

2. Bryan Adams

Canadian legend Bryan Adams. Without his music, puberty would have been boring. Heck, the reason I'm still the way I am is because I'm gonna be "18 til' I Die".

1. Gin Blossoms

The most unlikely act I'd ever have the pleasure to watch live. Please listen to them, and I promise I'll "Follow You Down".

Stuck in Europe

It was supposed to be 9 days of adventure. It is now day 13, and the next window of sliding home will be on day 19. But that is yet to be 100% confirmed.

WWE Superstar Weekly Countdown - #1 Undertaker

#1
THE UNDERTAKER

Sitting on top of my list is none other than the 'phenom' himself, The Undertaker. Someone who will always be put up there with the likes of Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, The Undertaker's two decades of destruction is nothing less than phenomenal.

Championships held: World Heavyweight Champion (3 times), WWE Champion (4 times), WWE Tag Team Champion (6 times), WWE Hardcore CHampion (1 time), WCW Tag Team Champion (1 time), 2007 Royal Rumble Winner

WWE Superstar Weekly Countdown - #2 Degeneration-X

#2
DEGENERATION X (SHAWN MICHAELS & TRIPLE H)

While creating my top ten two months ago, these two veterans were still a unit, heck they were even Tag Team Champions, but at present time, have broken up which makes my number 2 pick comprise of two wrestlers.

Multiple time champions "Heartbreak Kid" (HBK) Shawn Michaels and Triple H changed the face of wrestling 13 years ago when they formed 'Degeneration-X', who were a bunch of immature, and 'in your face' degenerates who wouldn't play by the rules. These two superstars have become staples of the WWE for over two decades.

Championships held (as DX members): WWF Champion [HBK - 1 time / HHH - 2 times], WWF European Champion [HBK - 1 time / HHH - 2 times], Intercontinental Champion [HHH - 1 time], World Tag Team Champions [HBK - 2 times / HHH - 1 time], WWE Tag Team Champions [Both - 1 time]

According To Me Life's Not A Fairytale

Pop stars Taylor Swift & Orianthi are giving young girls bad influences in life. This is based on their recent songs that have been hitting the airwaves and MTV.

Here's a simple analysis and example from Orianthi's 'According To You':

According to 'you'
'You' tells her that:
She's stupid, useless, can't do anything right. She's difficult, hard to please, forever changes her mind, a mess in a dress, not punctual even if her house caught on fire. She's boring, moody, can;t take her anyplace. She sucks at telling jokes, she has the worst attention span.

According to 'him'
'Him' tells her that:
She's beautiful, incredible, can't get her out of his head. She's funny, irresistable, everything he ever wanted. He's into her for everything she's not.

Orianthi should realise that 'Him' was actually 'You' when they first got together oh not so long ago. Sure, guys can say some brash things, but that's reality. On another hand, if she decides to go with 'Him', over time 'Him' will change into 'You' over time. So good luck with that.

--

And as for princess Taylor Swift. Oh god, I'll just let the lyrics speak for themselves:

Taken from Taylor Swift's 'Today Was A Fairytale'

Today was a fairytale
You were the prince
I used to be a damsel in distress
You took me by the hand and you picked me up at six
Today was a fairytale

Today was a fairytale

Today was a fairytale
I wore a dress
You wore a dark grey t-shirt
You told me I was pretty when I looked like a mess
Today was a fairytale
Time slows down whenever you're around

Life is not a fairytale. Stop destroying young girls lives!! Don't even get me started with Ugly Girl anthem 'You Belong With Me'.

WWE Superstar Weekly Countdown - #3 Chris Jericho

#3
CHRIS JERICHO

Brash, arrogant, and cocky-ness makes the first ever WWE Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho my number 3 to watch live.

Having seen him 8 years ago successfully defending the then Undisputed Heavyweight title against The Rock, Jericho is one of today's most entertaining wrestlers both in and out of the ring and deservedly holds the World Heavyweight title now.

Championships held: World Heavyweight Champion (3 times; current), WCW Champion (2 times), World Tag Team Champion (4 times), WWE Tag Team Champion (1 time), WWE Intercontinental Champion (9 times), WWF Undisputed Heavyweight Champion (1 time), WWF European Champion (1 time), WWF Hardcore Champion (1 time)

WWE Superstar Weekly Countdown - #4 Vince McMahon

#4
VINCE McMAHON

Vincent Kennedy McMahon. The man who started it all. This is the man responsible for a sport that broke out into mainstream entertainment and has evolved over the years. He's not a wrestler per se, but a major character nonetheless.

Being the 'boss' that everyone hates, he is infamous for interrupting or screwing main championship matches. Most recent being John Cena's defeat to Batista by forcing Cena to defend his newly won title a minute after a greuling Elimination Chamber match against a fresh opponent.

Oh what I would do to join in the tens of thousands in the arena and chant.."@$hole!". =)

Championships held: WWE Champion (1 time), ECW Champion (1 time), Royal Rumble Winner (1999)

EuroSawTrip

Recently re-watched 'Eurotrip' and I must say it still holds up even after 6 years. Loads of juvenile brainless laughs to be had here. :)

Also watched 'Saw VI' last night and it was just alright. I wonder how much longer can they stretch the series since the main bad guy died two movies ago. The complicated plots that get even more intertwined with each movie is good. 'Saw 2' & '3' pwn.

The 'Rated R Superstar' ranks in at #6. A shock return at the Royal Rumble match last month lead him to victory and has earned a number 1 contender spot for either the WWE or World Heavyweight title.

Edge is one of two WWE superstars that are on my 'Top 10 to watch in London' list that I have previously watched live in action; last being the WWE show they had here back in 2002 where he challenged William Regal for the Intercontinental title.

Championships held: World Heavyweight Champion (5 times), WWE Champion (4 times), World Tag Team Champion (12 times), WWE Tag Team Champion (2 times), Intercontinental Champion (5 times), United States Champion (1 time), Royal Rumble Winner (2010)

WWE Superstar Weekly Countdown - #7 John Morrison

#7
JOHN MORRISON

WWE's only graduate from the WWE Tough Enough reality series to sustain a position and make a big name for himself in the industry. Co-winning the Tough Enough III series propelled Morrison to become one of SmackDown's biggest up and coming stars. His 'slow motion' entrance has become a trademark of his. Future World Champion? I think so.

Championships held: ECW Champion (1 time), Intercontinental Champion (3 times), World Tag Team Champion (1 time), WWE Tag Team Champion (4 times)

#9
SANTINO MARELLA

'The Milan Miracle', The fastest man eliminated from the Royal Rumble, and Miss Wrestlemania are some of the titles this guy goes by. The comic relief of Monday Night Raw is Santino Marella. One of the most entertaining WWE performers when not wrestling.

Santino debut during WWE's European tour and was chosen from the audience to face the then WWE Intercontinental Champion Umaga, miraculously won, and brought home the title.

Championships held: Intercontinental Champion (2 times)

Universal Soldier : Regeneration (aka A New Beginning) Review

In the world of entertainment and movies, growing up is the 80s meant one thing. Growing up with action movies. From juggernauts like Stallone and Schwarzenegger, and your temperamental good cops like Willis and Seagal you get all sorts of memorable characters that you have grown to love and grasp it as part of your childhood (yea its usually rated R, but no one gives a sh*t and we turned out fine :)).

Oh hell yea!

The original "Universal Soldier" (UniSol) came out when I was 11 (Hint: Same year as the Barcelona Olympics). I remember watching the tape many times over (no internet back in the day, and my Micro Genius was locked up on weekdays), watching the then 'in his prime' Jean-Claude Van Damme go all out against 'Ivan Drago/He-Man/Punisher' Dolph Lundgren.

"Universal Soldier" was not the greatest of action films, but it did make a stamp in my brain (im sure most Gen X kids agree) and will probably always be there. Heck, two dead Vietnam vets (1 crazed and 1 righteous) get reanimated in the 1990s as supersoldiers? Ingenious!

Fast forward 18 years whilst forgetting the abomination that was "Universal Soldier: The Return" (and the other 2 lesser known TV sequels; the latest film ignores them as well) and you get "Universal Soldier: Regeneration", or A New Beginning as it's known on these shores.

What a crap poster.

Little advertising and marketing led me to only find out about this movie just over a couple of months ago, and when I saw the trailer for the first time, my chronological thoughts are as follows.."Damn this looks cheap as hell...Woah, Van Damme looks old....OMFG Dolph Lundgren is BACK!! And with UFC champ Andrei Arlovski!"

I write this after coming back from the cinema from watching this and I must say that this movie is extremely disappointing and has taken away the dignity of the two main characters from the original movie. I can't believe that Lundgren even actually signed up for this.

They don't look so bad here. Go watch the trailer. Gawd.

The story is crap. The colour scheme in the entire movie is crap. The UniSol's head gear look like used spraypainted webcams. Van Damme can hardly be seen doing any of his trademark moves. All he does is sulk. Lundgren is hardly given anything worthwhile to do. The actors are too damn old (a Rocky Balboa this is not!). I personally feel cheated and robbed of the JCVD/Lundgren rematch of the ages. I won't spoil more. A sequel to UniSol definitely has potential in this day and age, but the treatment for this was really off target. The first five minutes from the original movie is better than 1.5 hours of this crap.

As usual with B-grade flick, the ending suggests a sequel. I say leave JCVD out of it. But then again, who wants to watch a UniSol movie without him.
