..And the number one car on my list is... not only the oldest, but also least powerful of all... John DeLorean's dream, the DeLorean DMC-12. Best known for its starring role in the Back To The Future series, the DMC-12 was ahead of its time (yeah.. time) in terms of styling and trend of the sports coupe market.

Fast & Furious 6 (2013)

The sequel to the bombastic 'Fast Five' pits the F&F gang in yet another super mission that ends up becoming physics defying OTT action. Furious & fast from the get go (pun intended) and is a top notch popcorn munching, pie eating two hours of fun.

 

Best bits: THAT FINAL SCENE. Finally links back to its black sheep 'Tokyo Drift'

Worst bits: Can't think of any aside from the ridiculousness of certian scenes, but that part of the charm. Embrace it for what it is!

Fast Five (2011)

Throw in The Rock to rival Vin Diesel and what do you get? Action! Action! Action! The general recipe for this installment was over the top action and non stop adrenaline pumping over-the-top insanity. A movie that shys away from its roots but keeps the fans wanting more.

Best bits: The gang is 'complete' (sans M. Rodriguez)

Worst bits: No actual illegal street race scene, (dafuq) post credits scene

The car that stole my heart, mind, and soul. Paul Walker's car in "The Fast And The Furious" literally opened my eyes to the world of automobiles. Little did I know that orange Supra was going to going to leave such an impression on me even until today. Legend.

An odd title for the 3rd sequel of a movie franchise isnt it? Its awesome to see (most of) the characters from The Fast And The Furious back here. Unfortunately, it my least favourite chapter of the series mainly due to the fact that it got way too serious. Oh.. and, hello 'over the topness'. OTT-ness continues moving forward.

 

Rating - C+

Best bits: The gang is back together

Worst bits: Major lack of 'fun'.

The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)

The F&F series returns with all new characters and setting. Bad casting and a weak script made this one more of a pothole than a easy ride, but the general basis on illegal racing and street cred makes it a guilty pleasure of mine. Not to mention the (pretty sick) soundtrack.

Rating - C+

Best bit: That last scene was scream worthy. JDM cars EVERYWHERE. Siiicckkk theme song.

Worst bit: Casting. The damn high school kids look 30.

Initially found the sequel pretty lacklustre mainly due to the fact that it focused more on a cops and robbers/drug dealers story rather than the 'bro-ship' that Brian and Dom formed in the first movie. But in later re-watches, the car scenes and the introduction of Roman and Tej's characters who are prominent in future editions made it a worthy watch.

 

Rating - B

Best bits: Has the best illegal race scene in the series

Worst bits: No Vin Diesel and gang/Too many Mitsubishis!

This movie literally left such an enormous impact on my life. Before watching, I never knew the difference between a Supra and a Corolla, and drove an automatic. After watching, it was manual all the way. Performance cars have since been a passion of mine.

Movie Watch: Here Comes The Boom

A likeable feel good comedy with the usual formula and clichés, but I'm not complaining. Real personnel and arena from the UFC makes it a bigger underdog story. The should do something similar based on the WWE!

A mediocre action/adventure/comedy at best, albeit awesome stunts and fight scenes from the maestro Jackie Chan himself. Stupid one dimensional characters ruined what otherwise could have been an above average JC flick.

Movie Watch - Life Of Pi

The first half of the movie introduced us to the backstory of 'Pi'scine and was interesting to involve yourself in. The over 'fantastic' bits of the film were a little too much to grasp although it did bring awesome visuals. Overall, a really good movie in terms of filmmaking and acting. Just left me wondering whats up with all the glowing fish?~
